Travel Essentials According to H.

So as y'all know Thanksgiving is soon the be upon us and I got the chance to go home and surprise my family! It will be a grand surprise and I'd thought since I'll be sitting on a bus for 9 almost 10 hours that I'd show y'all my Travel Essentials.

I've come up with a whole list that just make me feel at home while traveling! I was reading on the megabus website that the bus maybe a bit colder and I know I'll be listening to music and just relaxing so here are my essentials for traveling home!

1. Bag

2. ID (won't be pictured for safety purposes)

3. Blanket/scarves

4. Cell phone (obviously)

5. Portable cell phone charger

6. Music

7. Cute and comfy outfit

Homemade Starbucks Passion Tea with Lemonade

Hey y'all! So earlier in the semester my friend told me about the Passion Tea with Lemonade drink at Starbucks. Somehow I had no idea this existed but I tried it and I fell in love immediately. Well since I'm currently tight on money, I decided I would try to make it myself. So I looked up how to make it and bought all the "ingredients" last night duribg a late night Kroger run!

The ingredients include:

•TAZO passion tea

•Lemonade

•Sugar 

•Water

•Vanilla (optional)

I bought all of this stuff late at night so I decided to wait until today to make it. I attmeptd it a few minutes ago and its a total success! I'm so proud of myself and now I can make my own tea and not have to go to Starbucks and spend my money!

Hey y'all! Sorry I havemt been posting much lately. I've been real busy with school! I have my research paper due later this month and i just finishded writing it last night! But today I thought I'd post my outfit of the day because I really like what I'm wearing! 

Today I'm wearing a light blue thermal and a "blanket" scarf from Target along with basic black legging and tall boots.

 

Target has some really cute stuff around this time of the year and i took full advantage of it! Heres a picture of my outfit I hope y'all like it!

Scarves!!

So y'all knkw scarves are probably the best thing next to bacon! They make the outfit so much cuter and they keep your neck warm on the cold winter days! I've had way too much time on my hands this semester and have now made 3 scarves! One is for my and the other two are for friends!

Also blanket scarves have become insanely popular this season and I've been looking everywhere for one that didn't cost an arm and a leg for a college student on a budget.  I checked the Target website for a blanket scarf and they had one but it was out of stock. I got super sad until I went to Target this morning and saw it hanging there just waiting for me to pick it up! 

It is not considered a blanket scarf because its more rectangular than square but I'm still in love. Its the perfect thing for those winter days which I'm experiencing now! I can wrap it around and it won't swallow me which was a concern! 

Its the perfect tan color with a whole mix of other colors! It will go perfectly with everything and I'm just conpletely in love!

Pamper Nights

As y'all know I've been away at school and I'm unable to have an actual pamper night, let alone have some time for myself. So I'd thought I'd show y'all what I do when I feel like pampering myself!

First I go into my LUSH cosmetics stash and pick out a bath bomb and bubble bar. I usually go for the Yuzo & Coco bubbleroon and the Dragons Egg bathbomb. Both of these make my bath smell so good! The Dragons Egg add shimmer and color ro my bath and the bubble roon adds amazing bubbles!

While in the bath I like to listen to music so usually I'll turn on pandora to my Michael Bublé radio and let the music take me back in time. 

After my bath I'll usually put some nice smelling lotion on and just watch a classic movie. Most of the time it will be with Audrey Hepburn. I'll get my popcorn all ready and just have an Audrey marathon to finish out my pamper night.

Monograms!! H M L

Hey y'all!! I was introduced to monograms earlier this year and I'm in love with all things monogrammed!!

My first monogrammed item was from Britnee aka @belles_n_bows and it was this long sleeved white shirt with a purple monogram! 

My second monogrammed item was another purchase from Brit! It was a navy crew neck sweatshirt with a white monogram! 

My third monogrammed item was a seafoam short sleeve tee with a white monogram! I purchased this from a store on etsy!

Please excuse te picture quality! It lools a little more grey but its a nice seafoam color!

My fourth and fifth items are both small so I'd thought it'd be better to just group them together! I have a white decal on  my car and then a silvet circle pendant necklace. The decal was from etsy and the nexklace was from Marley Lilly! 

My next monogrammed item was actually a going away gift from my amazing manager Meg! Its this beautiful blue and white chevron pattern with a green circle with a navy monogram!! Ot was the best present I've ever gotten and i love it so much!!

My last monogrammed item is a longchamp inspired bag! Its a navy blue color with a white monogram!! I will insert a picture when I receive the bag!

A Day In The Life

Hey y'all so I was thinking of todays post and decided thatd I'd post a day in the life! I'm going to focus on a typcial Tuesday for me. On Tuesday's I have anatomy & physiology 1, history, and then anatomy lab.

So lets get started on this day.

Lately I've been waking up at around 7:55 every morning which is the perfect time for me! Once I wake up, I check all social media and if I have any messages. Usually this takes me about 15 minutes. Also, I listen to Michael Bublé radio on Pandora to wake up. 

Then around 8:25-8:30 I'll start to get ready for my day. My first class is anatomy & physiology 1 at 9:45. I try to leave around 8:45-8:50... More on the 8:50 side so I have enough time to stop at Starbucks or Einsteins and grab a bite to eat. It doesn't take me long to get ready at all. Today I wore Aero boot jeans and a Southern Shirt Co. tee. These tees are my favorite in the world! I want every one on the website! 

After anatomy & physiology 1 I have history and let me tell you, that class is dreadful. Today it was blazing hot in that auditorium! I was just dying. My professor is incredibly dry and boring and monotone. Its just awful!

After history its lunchtime and today I want feeling Taco Bell! So I got 3 soft tacos and now I'm actually in this room as you read this because I'm waitingg for anatomy lab now. Which starts at 3:45!

My days aren't too exciting but that I'd a day in the life of H.

Money On My Mind.

As some of y'all may know by now I've been struggling with money for a while. For the time being I have exactly $41.00 to live off of until November 19 (hopefully). I'm not here to ask for your pity or ask for money. I'd never do that. I just wanted to vent and just get out what I'm feeling. This isn't going to be a long blog post and its more personal that anything but I needed to get whats on my mind out and thats exactly what I'm doing today.. 

At the beginning of the semester I had a decent amount of money but as the semester went on I just lost control with shopping online and Starbucks. I need to cut back on everything and get my head in the right place. This issue has already stressed me out and with anatomy and english work I'm starting to feel the pressure that eating has fallen second to school work. I would honestly rather get my work done and submitted on time and have it correct than eat. At this point thats how my life is going.

Sorry for the negativity but I'm just very upset and this is the only I can speak without getting judged too harshly. Once again sorry, but I needed to say something and this is how I chose to do it.

Tattoos

As y'all may know I'm obsessed with tattoos. As of right now I currently have 3. But theres no way in hell I'm stopping here. I've been wanting a tattoo since my mom got her first one, I was probably 10 or 11 at the time so couldn't get a tattoo. My moms rule was I had to be 18 before my first tattoo so of course when my 18th birthday rolled around I got my first tattoo! 

All three of mine have meaning and I'll go in to all the meanings under each pictures. 

I have so many ideas for future tattoos thats its unreal. Bascially my imagination wants me to be covered head from toe. Surprisingly I have no problem with that but future career may stand in the way.

Here are my current tattoos and meanings!

This was my first tattoo. I got it January of this year. Its a cherry blossom branch with nine blossoms and one pedal. The menaing behind this one is that the odd number of blossoms are good luck because odd numbers are good luck in China which is where I was born and adopted from. The point of the cherry blossoms is that they grow in China.

This is my second tattoo. I got at the end of March. This one represents the relationship I have with my mom.  We have matching tattoos. So this one is on my right ankle while her's is on her left ankle! My mom and I are extremely close and being down here at school is tough but I know shes watching over me and sending her love!

This is my third tattoo. I got it at the beginning of this past September. Its the Chinese symbol for "Strength". I chose this symbol because it represents everything that has happened with m should and how I'm getting through. Some of y'all may not know the whole story behind my ahoulder but long story short, I had an infection growing in my collar bone which spread to my shoulder. I chose strength because sometimes the pain of my shoulder would be so intense I thought I was gonna give up and let it just ruin my life. But I kept my head up and now this problem is getting resolved. And I'm forever grateful to my orthopedic doctor who performed surgeryon my shoulder.

Rain rain Go away!

As some of y'all may know I'm currently enrolled at ETSU. Well it has rained here for a good two weeks and I'm so over it! All I want right now is a good crisp fall day that makes it feel like fall is truly here because all I'm gettingg is rain rain rain :/. Since this rain is bringing me down I'd thought I'd post some perfect fall pictures to get my spirits back up as well as yours if you're stuck in the rain like I am.  

I've done all I can do so that I don't get too down about all this rain such as put together outfits that look great for fall! 

Hopefully the rain gods will see this post and put a halt to all this rain for a while!

Vests!!

It has come to my attention this fall season that vests are basically the best things next to Frosted Flakes. My obsession started when I saw the Herringbone Best from J.Crew about a year ago. I've wanted it since then and when a close friend of mine told me it was in stock I jumped at the chance!! I regret nothing about this purchase!

I was just strolling through the local TjMaxx the other day and spotted the most adorable navy vest by Cambridge. I was hesitant to buy it at first because money is tight but I went back yesterday and it was still there! So obivously I had to pick it up! Its the perfect thickness! Not too heavy but not just a piece of cloth I'm wearing around my torso!! 

Heres the new vest!! 

It has the most perfect detailing! So simple and practical for this fall season! I guess you could say I'm in love!

Herringbone & Krispy Kreme

I have been obsessed with the Herringbone vest from J.Crew. So since I finally had some money I splurged and got!! I couldn't be happier! Its fantastic quality as expected from J.Crew and I love it to pieces!!! It goes with about everything... Perfect for dressing up and dressing down.

This morning I had a hankering for some doughnuts so I decided why not?! I haven't had them in a while so I went and got some!!

This is my new blog, I started one but i wanted to revamp it and get back into blogging.  It help with my stress from work and school to just let everything out.  So before we start this journey, lets get to know each other first! As some of you may know I'm MD_sweetpea on twitter but you can call me Hannah, H, Han... either will do! I'm currently enrolled in ETSU as a Radiography major, i'm working on my prerequisites right now and then hopefully applying to the program with in the next two years.  I'm a full time student with 16 credit hours trying to not pull my hair out!
