NYC!

Hey y'all! So sorry I haven't been posting anything in months. But I thought why not tell y'all about my first time to New York!

So my mom and I left around 7:40am on Sunday December 27th. We took a bus that runs from Bel air (hometown) to 46th and 6th. We got to New York are 10:30am and once we got off the bus and got our luggage, we headed to our hotel to check in and see if our room was ready.

We stayed at the Belvedere hotel for one night. It was a very nice hotel for being a bit on the older side. So we got to our room and not necessarily unpacked but got settled in and decided on what to do for lunch. After laying on the beds for maybe 5 minutes we decided to head put and explore the city.

On the way to lunch, we discovered that M&M World was very close and we went in! It was incredibly crowded, as expected. But we walked around and saw all the m&ms in all the tubes. It was insane, I wanted to get some but since that was the first place we stopped, I didn't feel like carrying it all day. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of M&M World.

After M&M World we found an unknown pizza place. Later to find out it was Sbarro. But regardless it was really good pizza, but I also really didn't eat anything before we left so I was starving.

After eating lunch we walked to Central Park where we saw the infamous Plaza hotel. Heres a picture of the magical hotel

Also on the way to Central Park we passed Tiffany and Co. and if you know anything about me, I'm obsessed with the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn. I got a good picture of the outside which was all decorated for Christmas/New Years

Sorry about the quality. A lot of these pictures were taken on Snapchat Camera.

But anyways, mom and I took a penny cab around Central Pack and it was very informative. The guy who was riding the bike was telling us all about the buildings around central park and the lake.

After Central Park, we walked all the way to the kate spade store on 5th avenue which was quite the walk. But we finally got there and it was the most beautiful store I've ever seen. Heres a picture of the outside.

The inside was so cute and bright. I got a new wallet and bangle. My wallet is black and gold polka dots and my bangle is silver with a small single spade symbol in the center.

On the way back to the hotel, mom and I decided to go to panera for some warm soup. After panera we walked to Rockefeller Center. But we passed Saks at Fifth Ave where they had an amazing holiday display. I got a good picture of the tree and one of the fountains...

After that we headed for dinner. First we wefe gonna try this mexican restaraunt but we discovered that neither of us were gonna find anything good to eat. So since olive garden was a block away we decided to go there for dinner. After dinner we headed back to the hotel and just chilled for the the night.

THE NEXT DAY!!!!

So its now Monday morning (December 28th) we wanted breakfast but werent sure where to go so we just started walking. We found this cute little diner that had really good waffles and home potatoes. After breakfast, we walked until we found one of those venders that sells scarfs and hats. Because someone (me) didn't bring a scarf or a hat or a heavy jacket to NYC. But thats besides the point. So I bought my scarf and hat and then we went on a bus tour. The tour went theough downtown. I got a good picture of the Freedom Tower which is an amazing.

As well as the Empire State Building

This trip to NYC was amazing and I hope to go back very soon. Thank you so much mom it was the best time.

I ❤️ VS

Okay so y'all know VS/PINK has some of the best panties and when its the 7 for $27.50 you have to take full advantage. Well after a rough interview yesterday I decided to treat myself to some new panties and it was the best decision I ever made.

Now right before I left for school I picked up five new pairs because you can never have too many panties. So I gor amixture of styles! I got seamless and logo and lace trim.

My personal favorites are the logo and seamless.. A while ago I wasn't a fan of the seamless because the were tight but now I'm guessing they changed up the deisgn and they are perfection. Also the logo styles are classic and retro looking so I obviously had to pick up a few pairs of those.

The picture above is from a previous visit when I went before moving down to school. But yesterday I found out that the 7 for $27.50 sale had started and I jist had to get some more...also I didn't feel like doing laundry...but heres a picture of the ones i bought yesterday!

These underwear are literal heaven and I'm in love.

My First Year at ETSU

Alright y'all as the semester winds down and finals week unfortunately approaches I thought it would be a good idea to talk about my first year at ETSU aka East Tennessee State University.

Now this isn't my first year in college, I'm currently a sophomore, but its my first year in a whole new town... Well a whole new state and being very far from my family.

At first it was incredibly tough watching my mom leave to go back home. I was extremely  scared because I was in a whole new place and didn't know anyone. I was planning on rushing for one of the sororities at my school but that didn't go quite as planned. Unfortunately I wasn't able to rush because of GPA issues but I look back on it now and just laugh because I'm about the exact opposite of a sorority girl and with not rushing it saved me some money in the long run.

As far as the semester goes I made some great friends who I'm still close to today and I'm very thankful for those people. These people get me and have my back and I'll always have theirs no matter what happens!

During the fall semester of course Thanksgiving happened and I was kind of upset that I wasn't able to go home. But I found a way to make it home even though that was the worst bus ride of my life, I was able to get home to my family and surprise everyone because no one knew I was coming home. It was the greatest and the food was even better.

ETSU is now my home away from home and I absolutely love it here. The campus is beautiful and everyone is so nice. I can't wait to finish out my college career here at ETSU. Go Bucs!

Fabletics Lima Capri Review!

So recently I ordered a pair of capri bottoms from Fabletics which is a website focused around fitness and working out. Fabletics is a new line of fitness/workout clothes by Kate Hudson. I've been looking on the sote recently and fell in love with these pants! Heres the picture from the website

And I got them in the mail this morning! I wasn't able to wear to class today but I tried them on as soon as I got back to my dorm room! Heres pictures of them on!

Sorry for the shift in location but there was better lighting! And of course you gotta have the booty shot!

At first they were a little hard to get on but once they're on its like you're wearing nothing! I love the color, its a deep charcoal grey and the seams and material keep everything in place! I ordered an XXS and at first I was concerned because they didn't seem to want to fit but hopefully once I wear them a little bit more they'll stretch out become easier to get on.

I would definitely recommend checking out this website of you want new workout clothes, and who wouldn't want new workout clothes! But before ordering I'd be aware of how the VIP program works! But definitely worth checking out!

Food Prep!

Since I've been going to the gym more often and wanting to get serious about eating healthier and just living healthier I thought it would be a fun idea to prepare some meals for either lunch or dinner for this up coming week! So this morning I went to the store and bought all the things I needed to make some healthier options for this week.

Around 10 I made my way to Walmart where I picked up a box of pasta, a 2 pack of chicken breast, frozen corn, and frozen broccoli. Out of all of this I was able to prepare 6 meals (one a day). Now I know you're thinking one meal?! How can you survive off one meal?! Well I'll just watch what I eat for the other meals and it will all workout.

Heres a semi finished product of everything prepared

The pasta on the bottom row is waiting for shredded chicken and the one in the middle on the top row, I added another piece of chicken.

With all this being said I'm able to eat cleaner and add a little color to my diet!

Workout Routine

I have a friend who recently just became a personal trainer, and were were talking about how I wanted to tone up a bit and live a healthier lifestyle... Well since he was certified and is looking for a job, he wrote me up a workout that I've been trying for the past couple days.

Its two different workouts that are to be performed on alternating days for three days a week. For the days that that the workout is not being done, you can choose between cardio exercises or abdominal/core exercises.  If you being on Monday with workout A, then Wednesday will be workout B, and then on Friday it will be workout A again. Repeat the workout for 3 set of 12 starting out light then challenging yourself with heavier weights as you get use to the workout.

Workout A consists of 3 sets of 12 of
  • sumo squat
  • pushup
  • machine row
  • dumbbell curl
  • bench dips *hyperextension
  • ab exercise of choice
Workout B consists of 3 sets of 12 of
  • dumbbell lunge
  • stiff leg deadlift
  • dumbbell press
  • lat pulldown
  • tricep kickback
  • hammer curl
  • glute bridge
  • ab exercise of choice
Here is the equipment I used for the bulk of the workout...
  • the two pairs of dumbbells are 6 lbs. and 8 lbs.
  • body bar was 8 lbs.
  • bench
  • floor mat

After I finished the workout, I decided to do a little more core work so I used the bosu ball

I did some alternating exercises on the bosu ball,  but all focusing on core.
